Main responsibilities:
• To visit customers and vessels in his/her area and sell the companies products and services in accordance with the companies policy
• Visit customers and vessels on request by Account Managers both in own and other areas and report back the result from the visit
• To ensure that technical support is given where and when necessary and provide demonstrations on use of Unitor products
• Complete and issue relevant documentation after every service which are rendered onboard a vessel
• Attend sales meeting (when possible) and forward customer information to the Account Manager for follow up
• Follow up strictly all customer and vessel information available through databases
• To analyze relevant customer statistics to ensure that the customer is receiving the correct level of service
• To advise other areas of the movement of customer’s vessels in order to offer a high level of service that the customer expects
• To advise relevant personnel of any incidents involving his/her customers to ensure that any corrective action that may be necessary is taken
• The Safety Service Supervisor is responsible for the quality of his work according to good workmanship and technical standard set by the company within his defined area
• Documentation and reporting of performed service work to General Manager
• Keep all service personnel within his defined are informed and updated on all matters related to company organisation, techniques, procedures and routines
• When co-operating with a sub-contractor on a service job, the Technical Service Engineer is responsible for the technical quality of the complete job
• Feedback to customers or liaise regarding technical matter and operational if requested (e.g. inform completion of work)
• Carry out technical calculation and design work with Technical Commercial Executive and Technical Service Manager
• Ensure site safety and tidiness in his assigned work
• In charge of all FRS equipment/materials Inventory
• Maintenance of all UNITOR FRS materials and equipments
• In charge in Refilling, Hydro testing, Calibration of all FRS services
• Coordinate with UNITOR approve Welding schools and see to it the they fallow rules and regulation according to the agreed contract
• Visit UNITOR approved Training schools
• Site arrangement and co-ordination (manpower, material, transport, craneage, permits, etc.)
• Prepare job Repair Requisition forms, receive and understand work scope obtained from Technical Commercial
•Executive/Technical Product Service Manager, arrange and assign work to respective subcontractors together with the General Manager
• Responsible for up keeping good HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) practices as laid down by the company during your employment at all time.
Requirements:
• Marine or technical education is preferred to a reasonable standard, with experience rather than formal education being the key requirement
• Background from the marine industry with a minimum of 5 years
• A good command of spoken and written English is essential with additional language’s being desirable
• Good communication and people skills and a flexible working attitude regarding working outside of normal office hours. For example, must be capable of being onboard a vessel in working clothes in the morning and in an owners office in a suit in the afternoon if required
• Ability to read and understand common electrical drawings
• Sales experience
